Admission Requirements

Universal Career College has two kinds of applicants:

Regular Admission

  • Basic skills in reading and writing in English
  • A transcript verifying the successful completion of Grade 12

OR

  • Successful completion of the General Equivalency Diploma

Mature Admission

  • Must be out of High School for at least 5 years
  • Must be at least 25 years of age
  • Required to write our CAST exam and achieve successful results

Please note that some programs have different entrance requirements and pre-requisites.

Funding Your Education

There are many ways to finance your education. We are happy to meet with you and determine which option is best:

  • Canada-Saskatchewan Integrated Student Loans are available to qualified applicants. Applications are available at the college upon registration.

  • Employment Insurance sponsorship may also be available to individuals who are currently receiving Employment Insurance benefits, or who have received benefits within the last year. Please note that EI personnel will determine eligibility, not the UCC.

  • Students living outside Sask. may be eligible for funding from their province of residence.

  • Funding is accepted from sponsors such as Metis or First Nations organizations.
  • You can also ask your bank about a student line of credit. We will be happy to discuss this option with you.
